Town of Oakville | Tree Protection Survey

Thank you for your interest in the Town of Oakville's Tree Protection Survey.

The Town conducted an on-line survey to collect opinions from Oakville residents about the protection of trees on private property. Right now, trees on public property and trees on private woodlots over 0.5 hectares are protected in Oakville. However, more than half of the Town's trees are found on private property; therefore, it is important to the Town to create a mechanism to limit the destruction of trees on private property.

This survey was available on-line from June 22 to August 15, 2007. The results will be used for education purposes and as input to Town Council on this issue.
